Metal Improvement Company’s E/M Coating Services division has over 40 years of experience in applying precise tolerance engineered coatings, and are experts in applying solid film and dry film lubricant coatings for fasteners and other critical components exposed to sliding wear.

With its network of six U.S. facilities and four additional affiliated MIC facilities, E/M Coating Services is the largest applicator of solid film lubricant coatings in North America.  It’s N. Hollywood and Chatsworth, California facilities are conveniently located in the Los Angeles basin to service the California and West Coast aerospace industries; but other facilities service the Detroit, Chicago, Hartford, Minneapolis, Houston, Ft. Wayne, Toronto and Philadelphia markets.

MIC’s coating facilities in Fremont, IN and Ingersoll, Ontario specialize in the application of high performance zinc coatings for corrosion and other engineered coatings for oxidation, lubricity and cosmetic applications.

MIC’s facility in the suburbs of Houston, TX, Parylene Coating Services, specializes in the application of parylene conformal coatings for medical device and electronic component applications.

All of MIC’s coating facilities have the necessary quality approvals to meet the requirements of their specific local customer base, including Nadcap, ISO 9002, AS9000 and TS 16949:2002.
